One summer, no regrets

Carly Reynolds does not want to work at her father's Branson theater over the summer, but she has no choice. After wrecking his prized Mercedes on Prom night, she's got to pay him back somehow before she leaves for college. Now she';s stuck working as the personal assistance to twenty-year-old Gracin Ford, former member of one-hit-wonder boy band Accentuate.

Gracin is demanding, condescending, and an all-around jerk. Carly would rather eat glass than deal with a male diva who's more famous for his stint in rehab than his music. Until she realized that Gracin's lonely. Once she welcomes him into her life, she starts to let him into her heart. Even though she knows it will end when she leaves for school, Carly doesn't want to look back on her life and wonder what if. Even if it means a broken heart.

Just One Summer by Lynn Stevens Book Review

First, I am a new reader to Lynn Stevens's book. Just One Summer is the first book that I am delving in from her collection. I was not disappointed in taking a chance on her novel. A sucker for a bad boy with a heart of gold, what can go wrong? Lynn has capture the attention of a new reader.

It's definitely a fun summer read. The story entices readers from the first page. Lynn was able to capture the romantic intensity through her words. There was no denying the chemistry between the two main characters Carly and Gracin. And seeing them grow was amazing, especially when having the person you love right next to you.

There is definitely a twist to the story that was a defining moment for our female protagonist, Carly. However, this twist allows a much-needed conversation to take place. The context is most definitely for a mature audience. It also highlights the resources out there.

Just One Summer is a page-turner that anyone will enjoy. I can definitely say that Lynn Stevens had a new admire of her work! Do not miss out!
