#BookNews #TillieColeBooks #AVeilofVines #KindleUnlimited #FreeKU

Synopsis:

To most people, princes, princesses, counts and dukes are found only in the pages of the most famous of fairytales. Crowns, priceless jewels and gilded thrones belong only in childhood dreams.

But for some, these frivolous fancies are truth.

For some, they are real life. On Manhattan's Upper East Side, people have always treated me as someone special. All because of my ancestral name and legacy. All because of a connection I share to our home country's most important family of all.

I am Caresa Acardi, the Duchessa di Parma. A blue blood of Italy. I was born to marry well. And now the marriage date is set.

I am to marry into House Savona. The family that would have been the royals had Italy not abolished the monarchy in 1946. But to the aristocrats of my home, the abolition means nothing at all.

The Savonas still hold power where it counts most.

In out tight-knit world of money, status and masked balls, they are everything and more.

And I am soon to become one of them.

I am soon to become Prince Zeno Savona's wife...

... or at least I was, until I met Achille.

And everything changed.

Detour by Kacey Shea Review

This is the hottest newest read of the summer!!!

Definitely one-click material.

Kellan Kyle from S.C. Stephens "Thoughtless" series, watch out there's a New Alpha Male Rock Star in town!!! <3 <3 <3

Kacey Shea has undone herself with her latest title, Detour. It has the perfect combination of angst, silly banters, and romance. If you enjoy a story of a "Budding romance between two young rock stars...", this book is for you!

In her newest release, we meet Lexi a very determined and ambitious young lady in pursuit of her own Rock Star statues. She takes nothing unless she works for it.

Then we have Trent, the proclaimed leader of the band, 3 Ugly Guys. He is your typical man-whore who will bang anything that moves. Trent, however, has set his eyes on the newest upcoming talent, Lexi.

What do you get when you throw these two characters and a national tour? Sparks!!!

"How she felt like home to my wanderlust heart."
-Trent

Once you think that you  have this figured out, Shea throws in a twist that no one saw it coming.

Excess Baggage by Laura Barnard Review

Excess Baggage was my first Laura Barnard read. In addition, this book was one of the most challenging read to date. I truly have some very mixed feelings about the book. I been contemplating how I would rate this book and ultimately landed on 3 starts.

The story was very off setting for myself. I am sure a lot of you will absolutely love it and enjoy it... but it was definitely not my cup of tea. There were moments in the book that captured my interest but not for long.

The first few pages was hard for me to read and did not entice my imagination or interest. However, there was a key moment that keep me going... and ultimately secured by continue read of the book. This quote was my motivation...

"My God, how is it fair that he got  hotter? I've always kind of hoped that he was one of those gorgeous teenagers that peaked early and was now obese and ugly, possibly bald. But this level of good looking, well it's just not fair at all."

I felt like any women could relate to the scene. When we cross path with that ex-boyfriend that we secretly ponder about from time to time. It piqued my interest as to what was to become of our protagonists.

The book was off setting since I could not connect with the main characters, Erika and Jack. Jack was an ok personality but I DON'T want an "Ok guy" fictional or otherwise. My real issue was definitely Erika. She felt like a total sorority chick. At time, she came across a bit juvenile.

I been in Erika's position and have played the "what if" game, but it does not necessarily means to act on those thoughts.  Moreover, her acting out was the catalyst for the constant mistakes that occurred in the story line. Even, I was rotting for her demise.

Overall, I could not connect with the characters, which largely influence my reading experience. Don't get me wrong, the book was well written. The writing style suited the comical and entertaining scenes.

Dishonorable by Natasha Knight Book Review

>>>BOOK REVIEW<<<

Natasha Knight is by far one of the most superb writer of this year. She truly outdid herself with "Dishonorable". This was easily one of my top 5 reads so far of 2017. And #1 book of hers to date! It has everything: dark, raw, gritty, sensual. Once you begin there is no coming back from being "Dishonorable". You won't be able to put it down for a second, a page turner for sure!

Sophia and Raphael's relationship is full of twist and turns and despite the fact they are so different from one another, they complement each other perfectly. The chemistry between these two characters is off the chart! And the sex scenes are vivid and hot as hell and full of passion.

It certainty left me wanting more. And that plot twist was a big surprise. "Dishonorable" won't leave you disappointed.

Raelyn Clarke is the woman of my dreams, but she's way out of my league. I'm a starving artist with a deranged mutt. She's an attorney saving children from deranged parents. I'm not exactly the type of man she's looking for.

She thinks she's found the one, but she doesn't know his name. A stranger who rocked her world one night and showed her a connection she thought was impossible. A connection she's desperate to feel again.

She's settling for someone she does know, but he's only perfect on paper. An attorney who  matches her for education, career, and money, but doesn't have a chance in hell of showing her the passion the other man showed her.

How do I know? Let's just say there's more to me than Hudson Kelley, the goofy neighbor across the hall. I have to tell her the truth soon. Right now, it's better to keep her in the dark.

That was my first mistake of many.

The private investigator I hired to track down my e found her not far from where I live. I should have locked my past behind me, but something urged me to find her. I'm glad I did. But our union left me with a situation to be reckoned with.
