Recapitulation by Jerica MacMillan Review

Recapitulation is the final chapter in the Songs and Sonatas series. I highly recommend readers to read Double Exposition (book 1) & Development (book 2) before diving into Recapitulation. Recapitulation starts right where Development leaves off.

I have always been a fan of Jerica MacMillan however; Recapitulation was a tough read for myself. I could not swallow the first few chapters of the book. I found myself hating on Gabby’s persona and her decisions making. You can say I became so irritated that I did not see the light out of this book. Nevertheless, boy am I GLAD I ended up sticking through it!

In this final chapter, Gabby and Jonathan once again presents the love that they have for music and for each other. Music is once again a captivating character in the story line. Readers will receive a surprising twist to the story. It definitely put a huge smile on my face! Perfection at is finest. I loved watching Gabby and Jonathan’s relationship mature, as they as well had to mature for their own need and success.

This series is definitely Jerica MacMillan best work yet.

Development by Jerica MacMillan Review

This is the second book from the series Songs and Sonats.  You need to read the first book before you read this one because this book starts right where the first one left off.

As summer is under the way, Gabby has been missing Jonathan for almost a month now. She is so excited to see him again but her parents want her to stay home for the summer. After further persuasion, Gabby gets to go to California for a couple of weeks.

In this second part, we see the relationship of Jonathan and Gabby's put in the ultimate test. Music brought them together, will music be the very thing that breaks them?

36522811They both support each other, but they are both at such vastly different points in their lives, Jonathan is about to become a rock-star and Gabby is a student set to finish her degree. This summer break will make or break them and in Gabby's case it may just make her into the woman she will become.

Relationships are hard enough but when your folks are all against you it can make you fight to prove your love is worth it, or cause too much drama, I won't tell you what happens but I will say I can't wait for book three to find out where this author will take us next. This journey has been one filled with love, passion and drama and I'm sure there more to come.

Will Gabby's and Jonathan's love be strong enough to survive or will it be too hard to keep together?
