SYNOPSIS:
Allison: It was only a little lie.
That's how stories like these get started.

But with every lie I told, he saw through it.
I think in his heart he knew I was broken; he felt my pain as if it was his.

And that's what changed everything.
He's the reason it all fell apart.

Sometimes it's a single moment that alters everything in existence.
Sometimes it's the fall of dominoes, lined up in a pretty little row and designed so that each one will cause more and more pain.
In a single day, it all changed, and there's no way to take it back.
I didn't know what would happen. But secrets and lies ruin everything and I should have known better.
And for the first time in. . .I don't know how long, I wish I could take it back. I'd take every bit of it back if I could just be with him again.

"I was captivated from the very beginning, and I couldn't let go until the very end. Winters wove an outstanding tale, which has an even better message within its pages."Kendra, Reads and Treats

This Love Hurts, the all-new sizzling hot romance you won't soon forget from Wall Street Journal bestselling author Willow Winters is available now!

Some love stories are a slow burn. Others are quick to ignite, scorching and branding your very soul before you've taken that first breath. You're never given a chance to run from it.

That's how I'd describe what happened to us.

Everything around me blurred and all that existed were his lips, his touch. . .
The chase and the heat between us became addictive.

Our nights together were a distraction; one we craved to the point of letting the world crumble around us.

We should have paid attention; we should have known that it would come to this.
We both knew it could't last, but that didn't change what we desire most.

All we wanted was each other. . .

Release Blitz: Vi Keeland "The Rivals"

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Blurb:
The feud between Weston Lockwood and me started at the altar.
Only neither of us attended the wedding, and the nuptials happened decades before either of us was born.
Our grandfathers had been best friends and business partners, at least up until my grandfather's wedding day―when his bride-to-be blurted out she couldn't marry him because she was also in love with Weston's grandfather.
The two men spent years fighting over Grace Copeland, who also happened to be their third business partner. But in the end, neither man could steal half of her heart away from the other.
Eventually, they all went their separate ways. Our grandfathers married other women, and the two men became one of the biggest business rivals in history.
Our fathers continued the family tradition of feuding. And then Weston and I did, too.
For the most part, we kept as much distance as possible.
Until the day the woman who started the feud died―and unexpectedly left one of the most valuable hotels in the world to our grandfathers to share.
Now I'm stuck in a hotel with the man I was born to hate, trying to unravel the mess our families inherited.
As usual, it didn't take long for us to be at each other's throats.
Weston Lockwood was everything I hated: tall, smart, cocky, and too gorgeous for his own good. We were fire and ice.
But that shouldn't be an issue. Our families were used to being at war. There was just one minor problem, though. Every time Weston and I fought, we somehow wound up in bed.

"What the hell?" I pressed the button on the elevator panel a second time. It illuminated, yet the car continued to sit there. Si I jabbed my finger at it a third time. Finally, the doors started to glide closed. Just as they were about to shut completely, a shoe blocked them from closing.
     A wingtip shoe.
Weston's smiling face was there to greet me when the doors bounced open.
My blood was near boiling. "So help me, Lockwood, if you try to get in this car, I can't be responsible for what happens to you. I'm not in the mood anymore."
He entered the elevator anyway. "Come on, Fifi. What's wrong? I'm just playing around.  You're taking things way too seriously."
I counted to ten in my head, but it didn't help. Fuck it. He wanted to get a rise out of me? He was going to get one. The doors slid shut again, and I turned and backed him into a corner. Seeing my face, he at least had the decency to look a little nervous.
"You wanna know what's wrong? I'll tell you what's wrong! My father thinks I'm inept because I don't have an appendage dangling between my legs. The man I spent the last eighteen months with was cheating on me with one of my cousins. Again. I hate New York City. I despise the Lockwood family. And you think you can get away with anything you want just because you have a big dick." I jabbed my finger int his chest and punctuated each staccato word with another stab.
     "I'm
     Tired.
     Of.
     Men.
     My father.
     Liam.
     You.
Every single fucking one of you. So leave me the hell alone!"
Frazzled, I turned back around and waited for the door to open, only to realize we hadn't started to move yet. Great. Just fucking great. I jabbed the button a few more times, closed my eyes, and took deep, cleansing breaths as we started to move. Halfway through breath three, I felt the heat of Weston's body behind me. He had to have moved closer. I continued to try to ignore him.
But the fucker still smelled good.
How the hell could that be? Whose cologne lasted for―what had it been now?―twelve hours? After the gauntlet run he'd sent me on across town this morning, I probably smelled like BO. It pissed me off that the asshole smelled. . . .fucking delicious.
He moved closer, and I felt his breath tickle my neck.
"So," he whispered in a gravelly voice. "You think my dick's big."
I turned and scowled at him. While this morning he'd been clean-shaven, he now had a five o'clock shadow all along his chiseled jaw. It gave him a sinister look. The suit that hugged his broad shoulders probably cost more than Liam's entire sweater wardrobe. Weston Lockwood was everything I hated in a man―wealthy, good looking, cocky, arrogant, and fearless. Liam would hate him. My father already hated him. And at the moment, those were actually Weston's strong points.
While I struggled with my body reacting to his scent and how much I liked the stubble on his face, Weston slowly reached out and put a hand on my hip. At first, I assumed he thought he needed to steady me, as he had when I'd wobbled in the bar. Had I wobbled again? I didn't think I had. But I must've.
Though when his hand glided from my hip around to my ass, there was no misunderstanding his intention. He was not trying to help me stay on my feet. In my head, my immediate reaction was to scream at him, but somehow my throat felt too clogged to speak.
I made the mistake of looking up from his jaw into his blue eyes. Heat flickered, turning them almost gray, and his eyes dropped to my lips.
     No.
     Just no.
     This was not happening.
     Not again.
My heart thundered in my chest, and the blood in my ears roared so loudly I almost didn't hear the ding of the elevator announcing that we'd arrived at my floor. Thankfully it snapped me out of whatever moment of insanity I'd slipped into.
     "I. . .I need to go."
It took all of my focus to put one foot in front of the other, but I managed to walk down the hall and make it to my room.
     Though. . .
     I wasn't alone.

Excerpt:
Tory D'Angelo

I'm not sure if she realizes she's trembling, but she is, so to stop her from digging any deeper in a place so public and so filled with the fumes of microwave pizza and Coke machines, I reach forward and rest my hand on top of hers. We both freeze immediately, and I'm pretty sure my palm is already sweating. Her gaze lifts to meet mine, but I don't let go of her hand just yet. I don't make this touch a big deal, even though it sort of is. That's nor why I did it, and I don't want to cheapen it. With our eyes locked on one another. I let the air fill with the touch of silence just long enough for a ragged, emotional breath to fall from her lips.

"You have every right to feel the way you do." I say.

"And how's that?" she fires back. Her hand shifts under mine, but she doesn't pull it away.

"You feel like your dad sees a business opportunity where he should see his daughter."

She swallows and keeps her gaze on mine for a beat before finally leaning back, pulling her hand away and glancing off to her side. With a snort sniffle, she runs the sleeve of my brother's hoodie across her eyes, erasing the tiny break that she let herself have.

I'm suddenly not hungry.  I don't think I have ever not been hungry, but I couldn't eat the rest of my burrito now if I were forced at gunpoint. It's not that I feel sick, but more that I feel. . .envious. I was fooling myself thinking that Abby was a passing crush I could dismiss easily. Two months of riding shotgun with her through all things June and Lucas was just long enough for me to get hooked on having her around. But while it's my advice she's listening to right now, it's my brother's fucking sweatshirt she's dabbing her tears with.

"So, see you at the game?" I know my move to leave is abrupt, especially after she just bared part of her soul. If I stay, though, I'm going to say things I don't mean just out of sheer self-preservation. This is precisely why I don't do relationship, I just do flirting and hookups. Feelings. . .well, they fucking feel.

"What, did you change your mind and suddenly decided that nine-eighty bare-minimum wasn't good enough?" Her nose wrinkles after her insult, but I think I get where it's coming from. She just hit me with a major share, and now I'm bailing. Better to lash out. Her and I aren't so different.

"Something like that," I say, holding up my lunch trash as a wave goodbye.

Abby's face shifts, slightly, her wrinkled mouth and dimmed eyes morphing from the snarky expression that accompanies her tease to the look of a girl who just lost her brand new balloon to the sky.

"That hoodie. . ." I say as I walk backward, pointing toward the center of her chest. "Looks good on you." I leave things there with a tight-lipped smile and a nod, a truce of sorts, not that Abby even knew we were in a battle. Hell, we weren't. I'm the only one in a conflict, and it's with my own damn self.

I manage to turn my back to her and toss my trash out without pausing to get one more little jab in to fully take things back to our version of normal. I think for now, I'd like to leave thing nice. I wasn't counting on her wanting to leave things that way, too, though.

"I'll be sure to cheer for you, even if I'm wearing Hayden's number," she shouts.

I spin on y feet and give her a thumb up, but keep moving away from her because if I turn around, I'll keep trying to win her over. And she's not mine to be won.

Varsity Tiebreaker: Book 2 in The Varsity Series by Ginger Scott

Blog Tour: Bella Di Corte "Machiavellian"

Machiavellian, Gangster of New York #1
by Bella Di Corte

Genre: Mafia / Contemporary Romance Suspense

Blurb:
I hungered to be seen.

There were three things I knew about Capo Macchiavello:
He was gorgeous.
He was reclusive.
He was considered one of New York's most savage animals.

And he wanted me as his wife. A simple arrangement ― you do for me, I do for you. Nothing owed, no expectations. Except for one: never leave.

Life was never that simple, though. By the age of twenty-one, I was parentless, jobless, and homeless, and I had come to learn the hard way that nothing was ever free. Even kindness comes with strings.

Capo might've been the only man to ever seen me, but I had made a vow to myself: I would never owe anyone anything. Most of all, the man I called boss.

I killed to stay hidden.

Mariposa Flores thought she owed nothing to no one, but she owed everything. . .to me, the ghost the world had once called The Machiavellian Prince of New York.

Machiavellian is the first of three book set in the savage world of the Gangsters of New York series.

Excerpt:
I stood and turned toward the mirror. I watched him walk closer from behind. He stopped when he was at my back. I could feel the heat from his body through the dress.

He moved my hair to the side, and then he helped me lower the top of the gown. My fancy white adhesive bra glowed against my skin. He kissed the nape of my neck, watching me as he did, and then his fingers barely caressed my arms.

"Butterflies have least favorite colors when it comes to flowers. Do you know what they are?" His voice was low, almost hoarse.

"No," I whispered. A shiver waved over me from his constant touch, his gravelly voice, and it made me tremble.

"Ti piace la mia bocca sulla tua pelle. Tremi per me." He said the words almost to himself, something about me liking his mouth on my skin, me trembling for him. Then, smoothly, he brought us back to his comment about the butterfly. "Blue to green."

My eyes lifted to meet his. Blue to hazel.

"Good thing I'm not a real butterfly then, or maybe I would've taken the warning the first time I saw your eyes and flew away to something lighter."

"Good thing." He ran his tongue from my nape to the center of my back, and then trailed firm kisses on his way back up. His hands moved to my hips, and he moved us slowly. "If you only knew the thoughts I've had of you since the night at The Club, the fantasies, you would've run away."

"No," I said, sucking in a trembling breath, releasing it slowly. "Now that I've found you, I can't fly away. I'm attracted to blue ― all shades. It's my favorite color. It seems to heal me, not hurt me."

Author Bio:
Bella Di Corte has been writing romance for seven years, even longer if you count the stories in her head that were never written down, but she didn't realize how much she enjoyed writing alphas until recently. Tough guys who walk the line between irredeemable and savable, and the strong women who force them to feel, inspire her to keep putting words to the page.

Apart from writing, Bella loves to spend time with her husband, daughter, and family. She also loves to read, listen to music, cook meals that were passed down to her, and take photographs. She mostly takes pictures of her family (when they let her) and her three dogs.

Bella grew up in New Orleans, a place she considers a creative playground.

She loves to connect with readers, so don't hesitate to email her at belladicorte@gmail.com if you'd like to reach out.

Book Review: Bella Di Corte "Machiavellian"

Bella Di Corte is a new to me author whose debut novel is Machiavellian. I'm not a reader for the mafia genre. However, I can say that I'm happy that I gave this book a chance. I truly enjoyed this mafia romance!

First thing first, what made me gravitate toward this novel was the cover! That cover is hot. Like the saying goes "never judge a book based on the cover", however, when dealing with a new author, I judge based on the cover. But Bella Di Corte, made an excellent job of attracting my attention both based on the cover and blurb.

Mariposa is a homeless butterfly girl needing a break. Her big break comes in the form of Alpha male Mr. Capo. Capo is a ghost who has vengeance in his mind. Readers are able to connect with the prime characters. They are both relatable to readers.
"Scars don't bother me. They only mean I've earned my place in this world." ― Capo
Bella Di Corte created two amazing characters whose love is palpable throughout the pages. Both Mari and Capo flourished throughout the storyline.
"Something moved between us, and I wasn't sure what it was. . .It consumed me like the most beautiful ocean, and then wrote his initials on my soul." ― Mariposa
This book was romantic, suspenseful, and emotional at times. A well paced plot-driven story with very enjoyable characters. I look forward to the next book in the Gangsters of New York series.

***I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book provided by Enticing Journey Book Promotions & Bella Di Corte.***

Evert little girl dreams of the fairytale. The one where the white knight rushes in to save her from the clutches of evil. They fall in love, have babies, and live happily ever after.

By that definition, my life should have been a fairytale too.

When I was eight years old, Caven Hunt saved me from the worst kind of evil to walk the Earth. It didn't matter that I was a kid. I fell in love with him all the same.

But that was where my fairytale ended.

Years later, a one-night stand during the darkest time imaginable gave us a little girl. It was nothing compared to the pitch black that consumed me when I was forced to leave her with Caven for good.

At the end of every fairytale, the happily-ever-after is the one thing that remains consistent. It wasn't going to be mine, but there hadn't been a night that passed where I hadn't prayed that it would be hers.

I owed Caven my life.
However, I owned that innocent child more.
And that included ripping the heart from my chest and facing her father again.

EXCERPT
Sebastian clutched my hand with a tougher grip, his concerned eyes turning a deeper shade of brown, nearly onyx. "Your bravery astounds me."
My eyebrows crinkled and I looked into his eyes, searching for his own lie, but I came up short. "I'm not brave, Sebastian."
He scoffed, his other hand settling on my hip. The air around us grew dense with electricity, nearly suffocating me.
The euphoria from standing up to Lana and the passionate gaze coming from Sebastian nearly sucked the life from my insides. I reveled in it.
He released one of my hands and slowly reached for me, his fingers lightly tracing my jaw. "You have no idea the impact you have." He stared intently at my neck, his eyes opening wide as I swallowed. His teeth bit at the inside of his cheek just as his grip landed on my shoulder ― kneading his fingers into my goose bumped skin. "Please don't question your bravery."
I sucked in a breath, the release shaky.
His face inched closer to me, his minty exhale cascading over my face. Suddenly, I was grossly aware of our closeness and the fact that I didn't want to push him away. I wanted him closer. Needed him to touch me.
The hand on my shoulder moved to the side of my neck, his strong, calloused fingers tangling in my curly hair. Air entered my lungs in short bursts, and I hoped he didn't notice.
Trailing my open hand up his arm, the veins and muscles contracted under my touch.
"Stop me, Zona," he breathed, his lips ghosting the skin near my earlobe.
I shook my head, tilting back to give him better access to whatever he wanted.
Stop him? There was a chance I was going to forget how to breathe. It felt as if all of our quite moments had led up to this one. It felt out-of-the-blue and so incredibly right.
He snickered, the small puffs of air escaping his mouth jolting me slightly.
I clung to him, yearning for the smallest touch.
"Good," he said, right before he pulled me close, his lips barely touching my skin.
