Piece of Work by Staci Hart Book Review

I was excited for this book. My only concern was it would be another a typical professor/mentor-student storyline. However, Staci Hart blew me away with her rendition, as well as the character development of the main female protagonist, Rin.

Rin is an adorably cute and shy grad student seeking to learn from a great mentor. However, unbeknownst to her, her world is about to be shaken by Court. Which allows her to become a strong and self-reliant female.

Court is your typical male character. He has a strong present through the story. Readers will definitely be captivated by him. Never the less, it was a slow progression for me to be team Court.

Piece of Work is packed with tension, angst, and lovable moments. However, I felt that it was offbeat the entire time. The rhythm was not quite solidify that allows a smooth transition through the story.

If you are looking for a sexy read with a shy heroine and a sweet hero this is perfect for you!

Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life -- a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can't forget that. She's also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She's been a wife, though she's certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She's also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she's been drinking whiskey.

From roots in Houston to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. They are new enough that snow is still magical. When she's not writing, she's reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.
