Wow. There are truly no words to describe Cry Baby.  Ginger Scott, you have truly outdone yourself with this one. A definite home run.

You must ONE-CLICK for sure!!!

The biggest summer read of 2018!!!

Tristan is a young boy trying to keep his two worlds from colliding. In one, he is known as Cry Baby. An active gang member waiting to be initiated. Whose only future is to end in the gang life. With a father currently in prison and a mother who is trying to stay clean and sober of drugs. He knows only the life of the streets and doesn't dream of anything else. Cry Baby knows there is no future other then gang life.

Cry Baby goes by Tristan at school, his other reality. Where he tries to act as a "normal high school boy". Tries to go unnoticed and semi does what he is asked of. But he is well aware there no college future without paying the street first. This is where a new dream may come to flourishing.

Riley is a strong fearless girl. The new girl in the neighborhood. Who has a passion for basketball and dreams big dreams. She is the one who creates possibilities for a boy who never knew anything else.

An eloquent story of opportunities and love. And how far you would go for loyalty. Ginger Scott was able to take a story that is rarely portrait or even written in our society now a day. I applaud her for taking a risk and it truly paid off. Its truly a different version of "Pretty in Pink".
