Out of Time by Beth Flynn Review

Published July 21 2015

Recommended for readers 18+ due to strong languages, sexual situation and violence.

Out of Time is book two in a series. It is not a standalone novel. I highly recommend that you read the first novel, Nine Minutes (Purchase Link: Amazon / Barnes and Noble), to be able to understand the background stories of the main characters. There are many twist and turns in both books that can be best be connected if read consecutively.

Aaaahhhh!!! Breath in...Breath out. Whew. Where shall I begin???

I thought that "Nine Minutes" in its' own right was MAGNIFICENT but then as I hit the second installment "Out of Time", I came to realize that I hadn't seen anything yet. The first book barely scratched the surface in showing us just how twisted Grizz, Kit, and Grunt's life was.

Everyone loves when the bad guy shows hos soft side and vulnerability when it comes to the heroine.

"I love you with an intensity that scares me. It's why I stay. It's why I overlook so much. You need to know that I don't blame you for what happened to me. I am and always will be in love with you." - Kit
He lets out a sight of relief.
"I love you too, Kitten. I love you so much it scares me too." - Grizz

If you thought you knew where Beth Flynn was headed with this story line than most likely you were wrong. She complete surprise me with Out of Time. As each incident was explained even more shocking secrets were unraveled.

The surprise were never-ending. As soon as one problem was resolved an even more complex issue came up. There was never a boring moment!

Beth Flynn wrapped up a lot of the things many readers had question about, but of course left us with many new questions. Thus, allowing her to create a 3rd book to the series.

Unlike Nine Minutes, you will be able to get to know Grizz and Grunt background story better. Their characters truly shine in this book.

You also get to witness the extent of both Grizz and Grunt's obsession for one woman. There were times where I questioned what it was about Kit that elevated her above the rest and since Out of Time was written in multiple point of view we are able to understand both sides. I certainly appreciated how the author provides us the opportunity to peek into both Grizz and Grunt's thoughts.

One of the best thing about this story line is truly the LOVE and DEVOTION that each of these complex characters had for one another. Just as soon as you're convinced that one deserves the girl more, the other manages to outdo the other. Each of the men fighting for Kit's affection was in their own right terrific and I can't tell you how torn I felt about who she should be with. You are in constant turmoil!!!

"I just don't know who you think you are taking things that don't belong to you!" - Kit
Her chest began to flush.
"I mean, really, Grizz! I suppose you think that whatever's out there is yours for the taking." - Kit
He didn't answer her.
"Answer me. You think you can just take whatever you want?" - Kit
He looked over at her and smiled.
"I took you, Kitten." - Grizz

Beth Flynn definitely deliver in her second novel. Especially with that final shocker!!! (Eeehhh)

I highly recommend this series!!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS BETH!!!! <3 <3 <3
